Jayme Hinshaw- Going to show everyone what I’m capable of
This Saturday at King of the Cage “Declaring War” at The Official Black Bear Casino Resort, in Carlton, Minnesota, Fit NHB’s Jayme Hinshaw faces Melissa Karagianis. Jayme was awesome enough to share some of her time with me before flying out answering a bunch of my questions.
Question: How do you feel heading into your second pro fight?
Jayme: I’m feeling great heading into this fight. I’m excited to go out there and show all my hard work.
Question: Dose it feel different now that you’ve turned pro?
Jayme: It’s no different from being a amateur for me the only difference is the title (pro) I’m still working hard day in and day out at the gym
Question: What was your reaction like to being told by your coaches your ready to turn pro?
Jayme: It was awesome to hear. As a amateur it’s heard to find fights I keep having opponents drop out so what else was there to do but go pro.
Question: Has it set in, from when you started at the gym, to that now your a professional fighter?
Jayme: When I stepped into the gym I never thought I would become a fighter it still doesn’t feel real it’s like a dream but I love it.
Question: What do you love about competing/fighting?
Jayme: When I step into the cage it just feels right nerves go out the window and I just have fun and I love the feeling you get from it I can’t explain it. It’s like I’m on top of the world.
Question: What is giving you motivation heading into this fight?
Jayme: My motivation is to show everyone what I’m capable of.
Question: What did you learn in the last fight?
Jayme: I learned that I need to work on my wrestling and that losing isn’t the end of the world it’s a learning experience.
Question: For this fight your on the road, do you prefer fighting in New Mexico or outside the state?
Jayme: It don’t matter to me I just like to fight lol, there is pros and cons in fighting at home and on the road. When I’m fighting at home I have my family all around and I get to go home and sleep in my own bed and when I fight on the road I get to travel and see the world have new experiences.
Question: Why do you win this one?
Jayme: I think winning this fight will open doors for me. I’m excited to go out there and put on a good fight. This girl is tough so this should be fun.
Question: What goals have you set for 2017?
Jayme: My goals for 2017 is to stay active I’m excited for what 2017 has in store for me.
