Legacy Boxing Promotions Announces Debut at Buffalo Thunder “Raining Thunder”
Fresh off of this past weekends “Night of Champions” event Legacy Promotions has announced there next card for August 24th.
“Raining Thunder” taking place at Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino will be headlined by Santa Fe’s own Joaquin Zamora up against Guadalajara, Mexico’s Ernesto Berrospe. Zamora was last in action at “Expo Explosion” in April of 2017, defeating Anthony Hill by unanimous decision. Berrospe is a 24-fight vet, who’s competed in Mexico, the United States, & Puerto Rico.
The co-main event if a northern New Mexico showdown as Aztec’s Joe Gomez-Martinez squares off with Las Vegas’s Arturo “El Toro” Crespin. Gomez-Martinez has won 4 of his last 5 fights 2 by knockout. Crespin returns to the ring for the first time in nearly 3-years. “El Toro” is know for putting his down forcing his opponent against the ropes and brawling it out.
In the feature fight position Las Cruces Amy Salinas battles Houston, TX’s Samantha Salazar for the interim ABF (American Boxing Federation) Women’s Flyweight championship. Since turning pro Salinas has defeated Leanna Martinez & Danielle Saldanha by unanimous decision. Salazar is unbeaten in her last 5-fights. Salazar last fought in March, defeating Noemi Bosques by unanimous decision, for the same title that will be on the line.
Unbeaten Aaron “Angle Baby” Perez takes on Mexico City’s Danny Flores who has 8 of his 15 victories by knockout. Originally scheduled take place at “Night of Champions” Matthew “Papitas” Esquibel squares off with El Paso, TX’s, Issac Luna. After more than 2-years from the sport, Albuquerque’s Jesus Xavier PerArdua formerly known as Jesus Xavier Pacheco, returns to the ring to tangle with Fruitland, NM’s Jazzma Houge, who’s last fight was more than 4-years ago. Furthermore, opponent searches are underway for Gabe Gabaldon, Clinton Chavez, & Angleo Valencia.
