Moreno-Figueiredo Trilogy fight set for UFC 269
While rumored to have three the second title fight for UFC 269 has been confirmed.
The trilogy fight for the UFC flyweight title between Brandon Moreno & Deiveson Figueiredo will happen December 11th.
The first meeting at UFC 256 came three weeks after Figueirdo, who was then champ, successfully defended the title by submitting Alex Perez by guillotine choke and Moreno scored a first round TKO of Brando Royval who dislocated his shoulder.
At UFC 256 we were treated to an instant classic that Figueirdo being deducted a point for a low blow. After five rounds the winner was unclear and came back from the judges a draw. The rematch six months later at UFC 263 saw Moreno put on a blazing pace, tiering out Figueiredo and taking the title by rear naked choke.
Six months later the two will meet for third time one day short of year from the first meeting.
