One Fight Night 8 Results, Rodrigues become Undisputed & Superlek dominates
The Singapore Indoor Stadium is host to One Fight Night 8 a massive night of martial arts action that includes Kickboxing, grappling, Muaythai, MMA, and his top by two world title fights.
The main event has Australia’s Danial Williams challenging Superlek Kiatmuu for the One Flyweight Kickboxing Championship. In the co-mani event Allycia Rodrigues def. Janet Todd battle to unify the One Women’s Atomweight Muay Thia world championship.
Superlek took his game to another level methodically breaking down Williams over three rounds. Early on Superlek directed his attack at Williams legs and midsection with hammering low kicks and thunderous knees. Williams launching kicks and punches back without the desired result of deterring Superlek. In the third Superlek put a nail in Williams coffin with the fights first knockdown a right head kick countering a Williams right hand. The Aussie managed to get back to his feet. Smelling blood Superlek would attack with knees before unleashing a jab cross combination that would slam the lid shut on Williams.
In the co-main event Allycia Rodrigues got past the early effective counter striking of Janet Todd to get the battle into the clinch cutting Todd open outside of her right eye. Rodrigues physical superiority along with knees & elbows in the clinch would wear down Todd as the fight went on leading to Rodrigues taking the decision win.
Seo Hee Ham ran her win streak to 9 in a row in the nights feature fight strategically picking apart Itsuki Hirata with sharp jab cross combinations and the occasional body kick while stuffing the takedown attempts.
