Abraham Perez gets new opponent for new era title fight

The main event for Legacy Boxing Promotions has undergone a major change.

The promotion has announced that Mchanja Yohans and camp failed to secure travel visas by the agreed due date, leaving them no other choice, but to pull Yohans from the card.

Albuquerque’s unbeaten Abraham Perez will now face Jeronil Borres from the Philippines for the vacant WBC Youth Flyweight Title.

Borrres (12-7-2) will be making  a quick turnaround. Almost four weeks ago Borres won a unanimous decision over Jovanie Tagusi. The 27-year-old is no stranger to New Mexico having fought Matthew Griego at Isleta Casino in 2020.

Perez (6-0) came out the gate with a hot start to his pro career with  technical knockout victories in his first two fights. Over his last four fights “The Hammer” has been a mixture of elusive and brutally affective, dissecting his opponents for four consecutive decision wins.

Legacy Boxing  Promotions “New Era” takes place on April 8th at the Embassy Suites ballroom in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
