Title Fight Headlines April 22nd Boxing Card in Hobbs
An ABF title fight will top Isidro Castillo’s School of Hard Knocks Fight Night.
The nights main will see unbeaten Abel Navarrete (8-0) against Aaron Martinez (5-1) for the ABF Super Lightweight Championship. This past June Navarrete returned from a 2 1/2 year hiatus from the ring to score a first round knockout win over Armando Rodriguez in Ruidoso. Martinez will be returning from nearly five years away from the ring. The Holmes boxing representative had scored consecutive wins over Ricardo Reyes & Eberardo Lopez before stepping awat from the sport.
The schedule co-main event will be a three-round Bare-Knuckle contest between Hobbs NM, Alex Navarro & Levelland TX, Rick Martinez. Additionally a 112 lbs. School of Hard Knocks title will be on the line as Leanna Martinez (4-3) squares off with Randee Lynn Langley (4-4-0, 1nc). A pro since 2017 Martinez will be returning to the ring after three years away. In a contrast Langley transition to Boxing leaving behind her MMA career in 2019. Martinez will look to regain the form that saw her win two of her first three professional fights by knockout while Langley looks to continue the momentum that has seen her went two of her last three fights.
School of Hard Knocks Fight Night is April 22nd at Club La Sierra in Hobbs, New Mexico. Fight night a pay-per-view will be available from Athlete and Me TV.
