PFC 28 Results, First run for The Bullet Train a championship Success
Peak Fighting Championship 28 was live in the 505 at Revel Entertainment Center in Albuquerque, NM.
The card featured UFC veteran Cody “Bullet Train” East taking on Brazils Wesley De Almeida in the main event. This was a five round championship fight for the PFC Heavyweight Chamionship. Invicta veteran Meaghan Penning was also featured on tonight’s card she was matched up against Lydia Warren in the co-main who made her debut in Jorege Masvidals IKON FC. This fight was a scheduled catchweight bout.
They also featured a five fight prelimiary card live on Peak Pass, that did not disappoint with some great matchups. We saw technical striking, ground n pound, and some awesome Jiu-Jitsu. The preliminary card also saw two Amateur title defenses the first being Welterweight Marco Soto who successfully defended his amateur PFC welterweight title against Kyzer Del Busto in a rematch. The second one we had Idrees Hamed put his title on the line unfortunately he threw an unintentional strike and the doctor stopped the fight, the judges still had it in his favor he was also successful in his title defense.
We started the main card off with a rear naked choke finish by Jordan Burkholder. Then we ended the night with a great fight between Cody East vs. Wesley De Almeida. East secured a first round TKO to leave with the PFC Heavyweight strap.
