The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood Florida hosts BKFC 57. The Sunshine State will see BKFC Lightweight champion Luis “Baboon” Palomino battling former IBF & WBC world champion Austin “No Doubt” Trout for the vacant BKFC Welterweight championship a top of a 13-fight card.
The road to get to BKFC 57 came with a couple extra twists and turns. Luis Palomino a staple of the promotion since the beginning a two-division champion looking for the big payday. Austin Trouts debut win over Diego Sanchez provided a platform for “No Doubt” to call out the double champ. The “Baboon” jumped into the ring accepting the challenge. Negotiations delayed the fight. The delay forced Palomino to vacate the welterweight title to avoid a log jam in the division. The newly crowned champ broke his contract, and a vacant title has historical implications in play. Palomino can become a two-division champion for a second time and defend his sport while trout can possibly become the first Boxing/ Bare-knuckle crossover champion of the modern era.
