Trout Royalty in Two Sports

History has been made, Austin Trout is the first to a world champion in Boxing & BKFC.

Trout took the first round to analyze what and how Luis Palomino was going to attack. The next four rounds saw Trouts jab dictate the pace.  As Palomino crashed in Trout would find his angles an exit from danger. When Palomino would trap Trout in the clinch, Trout answered with body shots or tying up. A knockdown in the fourth came in unexpected fashion as Trout spun Palomino around landing a short shot that sent Palomino into a face plant assuring the champ would need a monster comeback. The “Baboon” tired hard but was unable to track down Trouts fancy footwork.

Bryce Henry came into the co-main event talked about as the future heading into his biggest challenge a grizzled vet in Robbie Peralta. While performance may not have been as ruthless as some would like it was brutally efficient close up Peralta left eye with jabs by the end of the second round.

A possible next challenger to Kailee Stewart’s Featherweight title was hoped to and did emerge from Bryan Duran versus Louis Lopez. The Florida native struck first knocking down the former title challenger with an overhand right in the first round.   Duran has overcome adversity all his life and in the second round for the first time in the circle as he was dropped to a knee from a precision left cross. Duran rounded in the third and in the fourth detonated an overhand right bomb Lopez’s chin a shot he couldn’t recover from in ten seconds. It’s now 6-0 with six knockout for Bryan Duran who may have passed the final test for a title shot.

Jomi Escoboza punched his way into the Light-Heavyweight ranking as he broke down Issac Doolittle shutting down his attempts to make their bout an inside fight. The Escoboza straight left put Doolittle on skates and a follow up flurry has him on ice and out.

They say great minds think alike and Daniel Alvarez shared the idea with Alberto Blas, it’s was just that Blas cross got home before Alvarez’s hook could get around for a TKO at the minute mark of the first round. Heavyweight are known for the fireworks and Leonardo Perdomo showed what happens when a misle lands on target as an overhand right put down Bobby Bents in 33 seconds . Justin Ibarrola also displayed power and speed hitting Landon Williams with a right hook that had him shook and before he could hit the ground Ibarrola landed another left-right combo leading to a finish in only 15 seconds. The main card got off to a fast start as Edgard Plazaola forced Darrick Gates into exchanging with his back against the ropes. The Plazaola combinations forcing Gates to take knees on a three occasions. A right hook off Gates temple made the fourth the final knockdown.

It’s only a matter of time before Chris Garcia is fighting on the main card. A fast pace narrow first three rounds saw Chris Garcia separate himself from Albert Inclan in the final four minute as his right hand would score a knockout down and draw blood.

The prospect status of Ryan Reber is pushing towards top contender after the Clearwater native overcame getting roughed up in the clinch to cut open Belen’s Derek Perez, and find a TKO from a nearly twenty punch combination in the fourth round. The card started off with Leo Bercier collecting a knockout win over Stephen Townsel who took a ten-count loss after landing a right hook in a manner that dislocated his right thumb.
