Jared Warren Sends a Clear Message at BKFC Fight Night

Jared Warren made a strong case for why he should have a chance to get back the BKFC Light Heavyweight title.

In his first fight since losing the title Jared Warren silenced all the doubts. An early feeling out process turned on a dime. Joseph Creer pushed forward into the clinch with Warren who ripped off rapid fire left uppercuts. Warren firing hooks from both sides as Creer crashes to the mat from the onslaught.

The message was loud and clear. Jared Warren doesn’t care who wins the BKFC 74 main event between Mike Richman & Josh Dyer, he just wants the winner.

Ryan Reber also rebounded nicely from his first loss in BKFC taking a majority decision win over Matt Guymon. Reber scored a knockdown in the second round and as normal displayed slick counter striking on top of a strong jab.

The killer jab of former BYB champion Jomi Escoboza damaged Jay Jackson’s left eye forcing a doctor’s stoppage after the third round. Escoboza earning his 10th win in the sport.

In less than 90 second Michael Larrimore & Samuel Samples knocked each other down five times. Granted it was Samples on the ground four of those times. A combination of overhands put Samples on the mat the first time. Larrimore almost immediately scored a second knockdown from a right uppercut. Maybe Larrimore got a little overconfident as Samples snuck in a right hand in that forced Larrimore to touch the canvas. A Refocused Larrimore scored the third knockdown from an overhand left, and a left hook sealed the deal.

At Heavyweight there was also a five-knockdown affair. Brady Meister forced Joseph White to take a knee early in the first after a stinging left hook. White would come back scoring two knockdowns in a row. The first from a wild right hook and the second a huge left hook. Meister got back to a measured approach and using his reach in the second. A short stiff right hand from Meister evening the knockdowns at two. The same shot caused knockdown number five and White to stay down.

Nathan Rivera is still unbeaten but for the first time had to deal with a bit of adversity. Rivera got up off the canvas for the first time in his career after taking a right hand in the clinch from Alex Castro. Rivera came back in the to put Casto on the canvas in the third a right body shot creating the opening for a left hook. The right body shot accounting for the first knockdown in the fourth, while a right cross got the finish.

The main card unfortunately started with controversy as Claudia Zamora against Crystal Pittman ended in a no contest. Zamora closed Pittman’s right eye in the first with a right hand. In the second after Zamora hit Pittman with a stinging shot, Pittman took a knee & Zamora landed an illegal left hook. Full Results from BKFC Fight Night Clearwater.
