BKFC 95, Jamel Herring Retains BKFC Bantamweight Title in Close Decision Over John Dodson
For the second time, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship visited the Garden State, delivering a night of action headlined by Jamel Herring retaining the BKFC Bantamweight Championship with a split-decision victory over BKFC Flyweight Champion John Dodson.
The closely contested main event saw Herring find success with his jab, while Dodson was able to work inside when he chose. Herring countered by tying Dodson up in the clinch and making the most of those exchanges to edge out the victory.
Jimmie Rivera delivered one of the night’s most impressive finishes, breaking down Brandon Meyer’s body before opening up the head and landing an overhand left for the knockout.
Tony Soto also returned to the win column after coming out of a short-lived retirement. Soto snapped a four-fight losing streak by putting Anthony Pike out cold with a long left hook.
Santo Curatolo made a memorable BKFC debut, showcasing his power with two knockdowns of Andrew Yost before securing a second-round knockout with a right hook-left uppercut combination.
Dalvin Blair rounded out the standout performances with a devastating one-punch knockout of Paris Boyd, landing a crippling right hand to the body to secure the finish.
