Jena Bishop Makes History, Captures Inaugural PFL Women’s Flyweight Title at PFL Chicago

CHICAGO (October 16, 2026) – The Professional Fighters League returned to Wintrust Arena for PFL Chicago, where Jena Bishop captured the inaugural PFL Women’s Flyweight World Championship in the main event.

Bishop (12-3) used her superior grappling to neutralize former Bellator champion and 2025 PFL World Tournament champion Liz Carmouche (26-9). After surviving a strong opening round, Bishop controlled much of the remaining five-round contest and threatened with a rear-naked choke in the third. Carmouche survived, but Bishop earned a unanimous decision victory, with all three judges scoring the fight 48-47.

In the co-main event, undefeated featherweight Timur Khizriev (19-0) edged Gabriel Braga (17-4) by split decision after 15 competitive minutes, keeping his perfect record intact.

Bantamweight contender Sarvarjon Khamidov (18-1) continued his rise with a first-round knockout of Rafael do Nascimento (13-3), dropping his opponent with a left hook before finishing with hammerfists.

Undefeated welterweight Oualy Tandia (6-0) made a successful PFL debut, earning a unanimous decision over JP Saint Louis (12-6) with a well-rounded striking and grappling performance.

With the victory, Bishop adds another world championship to her résumé and makes history as the PFL’s first women’s flyweight champion.
