History Made in Serbia as Abby Montes Claims Inaugural Power Slap Title
History was made in Serbia as Power Slap crowned its inaugural Women’s Featherweight Champion while the Heavyweight Championship was successfully defended for a seventh time.
Mexico’s Abby “Brave” Montes became the first-ever Power Slap Women’s Featherweight Champion, earning a unanimous decision victory over Sheena Bathory. The hard-hitting contest was marred by repeated fouls, with Bathory losing two points for clubbing and Montes also being deducted a point.
The Heavyweight Championship remained in the hands of Damien “The Bell” Dibbell, who earned his second decision victory over Dorian Perez. Just like their first meeting in 2024, the championship bout went the distance. Perez will be left wondering what could have been after a point deduction for clubbing turned what could have been a draw into a majority decision win for Dibbell.
In the Super Heavyweight division, Dumpling evened the score in his rivalry with Dawid Zalewski by scoring a second-round knockout. Dumpling dropped Zalewski in the opening round, where the Polish slugger also suffered a right arm injury. Already compromised entering the second round, Zalewski couldn’t withstand another powerful slap as Dumpling finished the job.
Louis Robinson recorded the night’s only first-round finish. After Pavol Horelican was deducted a point for clubbing, Robinson capitalized on his first opportunity, knocking Horelican down and opening a fight-ending cut inside his mouth.
The event opened in dramatic fashion as Darren “The Tarantula” Godfrey staged a remarkable comeback against Daniyar “Shreder” Toktarov. After being knocked down in each of the first two rounds, Godfrey responded with a devastating second-round knockout that left Toktarov unconscious.
