Bellator MMA- Signs Rampage Jackson & Cheick Kongo
Spike TV, “TNA” Impact Wrestling, and Bellator MMA have announced the huge multiple signing of MMA vet Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (32-11). Jackson’s teammate and 18 fight vet of the UFC Heavyweight Cheick Kongo has also inked a deal to compete in Bellator MMA.
Jackson in the cage has lost 4 of his last 6 fights, including 3 straight losses to Jon Jones (SUB), Ryan Bader (UD), and Glover Teixeira (UD). Jackson is expected to fight in Bellator MMA and is going to have a reality show made around his debut with the promotion. As far Jackson’s role in Impact wrestling that has not been made public yet. Jackson has 21 stoppage wins with 14 KO/TKO and 7 submissions.
Cheick Kongo is 2-2 in his last 4 fights with KO/TKO losses to Mark Hunt and Roy Nelson; and his most recent wins over Matt Mitrione and Shawn Jordan have been lackluster leading to a parting of way with the UFC. Kongo has 10 of 18 wins by KO/TKO.
There has not been a announced date for either fighter Bellator debut.
