UFC 164 Adds Krauss vs. Lim & Varner vs. Tibau
The UFC has announced the addition of two fights to UFC 164. One bout will see young Welterweights collide when Pascal Krauss (11-1) faces Hyun Gyu “The Ace”Lim (11-3-1) while the other pits veteran Lightweights against each other as Jamie “C-4” Varner (21-7-1) meets Gleason Tibau (27-9)
Born in Germany, Pascal Krauss now does a majority of his training at the Milwaukee, Roufusport. Krauss is coming off a unanimous decision win over Mike Stumpf, bouncing back from a decision loss to John Hathaway.
Hyun Gyu Lim made is UFC debut at UFC on Fuel TV 6 defeating Marcello Gumaries by 2nd round KOto extend his current winning streak to 6.
Since returning to the UFC former WEC champion Jamie Varner has on short notice TKO’d Edson Barboza at 146, been submitted by Joe Lauzon at UFC on Fox 4, and was on the winning side of a split decision with Melvin Guillard at UFC 155.
American Top Team member Gleasion Tibau much the same is 2-1 in his last three bouts with wins over John Cholish (SUB) and Fransico Trinaldo (UD), while suffering defeat by split decision to Evan Dunham.
UFC 164 takes place on August 31, at the in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and is headlined by TJ Grant challenging Benson “Smooth” Henderson for the UFC Lightweight title.
