Season 9 Lightweight Tournament SemiFinals at Bellator 105
The stage is set for the Bellator Lightweight Tournament Semifinals to take place at Bellator 105 at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with Saad Awad (15-5) vs. Will “Ill Will” Brooks (11-1) II, and Ricardo Tirloni vs. Alexander “Tiger” Sarnavskiy (23-1).
Lightweight Summer Series finalist Saad Awad got back in the winners circle with a submission victory over Martin Stapleton. Will Brooks battered, grinned and bloodied up John Alessio on his way to a unanimous decision win. Awad and Brooks met the first time at Bellator 91 in the 2013 Summer Series semifinals, a bout that Awad would win by knockout in 43 seconds.
Ricardo Tirloni earned his slot in the semifinals with a unanimous decision victory over Rich Clementi. Alexander Sarnavskiy landed a big right hand that got the fight to the ground and snuk in a choke to finish, UFC vet Marcus Davis in the quarterfinal round.
