McCall Injured, Dodson faces Jorgensen at UFC on Fox 9
John Dodson (15-6) has been granted his wish of a quick turn around and that is good news for “The Magician”. The bad news comes for Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall (12-4-1) who has been forced to withdraw from welcoming Scott “Young Guns” Jorgensen (14-7) to the Flyweight division; with a hand injury.
Dodson bounced back from a unanimous decision loss to Demetrious Johnson, in a failed attempt to capture the Flywieght title; with spectacular knockout of promotional newcomer Darrell Montague at UFC 166.
Jorgensen a long time top Bantamweight, drops to Flyweight after a 1-3 stint with losses to Urijah Faber (SUB), Eddie Wineland (KO), and Renan Barao (UD); with the lone win coming over John Albert (SUB).
UFC on Fox 9 takes place on December 14, at the Sleep Train Arena, in Sacramento, California. The main event will see Josh “The Punk” Thomson challenging Anthony “Showtime” Pettis for the UFC Lightweight title.
