Rampage vs. Beltran added to Bellator 108
The Bellator in cage debut of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (32-11) has officially been rescheduled for Bellator 108 against stepping up on the short notice fellow UFC vet Joey “Mexicutioner” Beltran (14-9).
Rampage had been expected to main event the very first Bellator pay per view event opposite Tito Orit on November 2, but an Ortiz injury canceled the; and led the promotion to move the event to its normal broadcaster of Spike TV.
Now Rampage will make his debut 13 days later then expected. Still Jackson will be looking to snap a 3 fight losing streak to Jon Jones (SUB), Ryan Bader (UD), and Glover Teixeira (UD). Rampage last hand his hand raised at UFC 130 in May of 2011, when Jackson earned a unanimous decision win over Matt Hamill.
For Beltran this will also be his Bellor debut. Beltran is his last 3 fights has sandwiched a win, overturned to a no contest due to test positive for a banned steroid against Igor Pokrajac , by decision losses to James Te Huna and Fabio Maldonado. The “Mexicutioner” last win came in April of 2012 with a unanimous decision win over Anton Talamantes, at C3 Fights- Great Plains Showdown.
Bellator 108 takes place on November 15, at the Revel in Atlantic City , New Jersey. The event also features a Middleweight title bout of Doug Marshall challenging Alexander Shelmenko and Patricio “Pitbull” Freire battles Justin Wilcox in the season 9 Featherweight Tournament Finals.
