XFC 27 MAin Card Announcements
Junior Assuncao (14-5) the former XFC Lightweight champion makes his return ti the promotion on December 13, in Muskegon Michigan, in the main event of XFC 27 taking on Daniel “Agent Orange” Swain (10-2) in Featherweight contest.
Assuncao on the strength of a 6 fight winning streak got the call to go to the UFC. Defeating Eddie Yagin but then losing to Ross Pearson, Assuncao was released by the promotion and has since submitted Guilherme Faria de Souza at Premium Fight Championship 2.
Swain an American Kickboxing Academy product is a vet of MFC and Pancrase, has won 4 consecutive bouts with decisions over Matt Jelly and Tadahiro Harada; while scoring TKO wins over Michael Craig and Tomonari Kanomata.
Also on the main card a new XFC Featherweight champion will be crowned when the winner of XFC 26’s bout between Jason Hicks (5-1) vs. Deivison Ribeiro (24-9) meets Farkhad Sharipov (14-5).Pair of Lightweight bouts will see Joe Elmore (6-5) vs. Eric “It’s a Wrap” Reynolds (17-6) and Alex Trevino (5-5) vs. Dave Courchaine (15-5).A woman’s Atomweight contest will see Angela Hill (0-0) make her pro debut against Stephanie Skinner (2-4).Starting off the main card will be a Welterweight clash with Dom Steele (6-3) vs. Ryan “The Tank Engine” Thomas (17-7).
