Dantas Defends Bantamweight Crown In Bellator 111 Main Event
Brazilian vs. Brazilian for the Bantamweight title will headlined Bellator 111, on March 7, at the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville,Oklahoma; with 2013 Summer Series winner Rafael Silva (21-3) challenging reigning cahampion Eduardo Dantas (15-3).
Silva has won 13 consecutive fights including submitting Rodrigo Lima and bettering Anthony Leone by decision to win the summer series mini tournament.
Dantas is 8-1 in his last 9 contests. In his last 3 fights Dantas has submitted Zach Makovsky to capture the Bellator Bantamweight crow, then In a fight under the shoot Brazil banner Dantas was quickly knocked out by Tyson Nam, and then most recently defend his title by knocking out his jiu jitu mentor and friend; season 6 tournament winner Marcos Galvao.
