Bellator 121 adds Curran vs. Freire II
Patricio “Pitbull” Freire’s will get his long awaited title shot and a chance to avenge his most recent loss, against Pat Curran in the headlining bout of Bellator 121 on Friday June 6th, at the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma; Bellator officials recently announced.
In this rivalry it’s Curran who drew first blood defeating Freire at Bellator 85 by split decision.
Freire became a 2-time tournament winner after his domination of the season 9 Featherweight tournament. During his season 9 tournament winning run “Pitbull” decision Fabricio Guerreiro an knocked out both Diego Nunes and Justin Wilcox.
Pat Curran regained the Bellator Featherweight title at Bellator 112, with a 5th rd rear naked choke of Daniel Straus, who months before took the title from Curran by unanimous decision.
