3 Bouts announced for Bellator 127 including Main Event Daniel Straus vs. Justin Wilcox
On October 3rd, the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California; will play host to Bellator 127 headlined by Former Featherweight champion Daniel Straus (22-5) taking on fellow tournament vet Justin Wilcox (14-6).
Both men have wrestling pet-agrees winning most their bouts by breaking down there foe and taking the decision. Straus is a member of American Top Team while Wilcox is a member of the American Kickboxing Academy. This will be Straus’s first bout since losing the Bellator Featherweight title back to Pat Curran, by submission, at Bellator 112. The loss ended a 6 fight win streak in which Straus won 5 times by unanimous decision. Wilcox has won 3 of his last 4, bouncing back from a TKO loss to Patricio Freire with a unanimous decision win over Jason Fischer.
At 170 lbs., winner of 4 of his last 5, wich consecutive wins by TKO Karo “The Heat” Parisyan (24-10) squares off with former Dream champion Marius “The Whitemare” Zaromskis (20-8), 6-2 in his last 8, coming off a unanimous decision win over Vaughn Anderson, which ended a 2 fight skid. Parisyan has 14 stoppages with 12 submission, while Zaromskis has 13 of 14 stoppages by knock out.
TUF 3 winner Hawaiian Kendall Grove (19-14) welcomes former Bellator Light Heavyweight champion Christian M’Pumbu (18-6-1) to 185 lbs. Grove is coming off a knock out loss to Brett Cooper then ended a 2 fight win streak. M’Pumbu looks to end a 3 fight losing streak, most recently being knocked out to “Rampage” Jackson at Bellator 110.
