Invicta FC 12 Kankaanpaa vs Souza & 3 More Bouts

Invicta FC returns home to Kansas City, Kansas, for Invicta FC 12 headlined by undefeated Brazilian Livia Renata Souza (7-0) challenging Finlands Katja “Killer Bunny” Kankaanpaa (10-1) for the Invicta FC Strawweight title.

Souza has 6 of 7 wins by submission and 5 wins in the first round. Souza has won 3 in a row by submission in the 1^st round defeating Bianca Rei(triangle choke), Edlaine Franca Godoy (armbar), and Camila Lima (rear naked choke).

Kankaanpaa will be defending her tile for the first time since winning the belt by 5^th round Brabo choke, defeating Stephanie Eggink at Invicta FC 8. The win was Kankaanpaa’s 2^nd in a row via submission also having scored an armbar victory over Alyona Rassohyna.

At Flywieght coming off consecutive decision wins over Tara LaRosa and Andrea Lee, Roxanne “The Happy Warrior” Modaffferi (17-11) takes Vanessa Porto(17-6), who Modafferi defeated in 2008 by 3^rd round TKO. Porto has also won consecutive bouts be decision over Zoila Frausto and Ana Maria.

At Featherweight “The DayWalker” Peggy Morgan (3-2), coming off a unanimous decision win over Andria Wawo, welcomes undefeated Latoya “Black Mamba” Walker (4-0) to Invicta FC. Walker is coming off a 1^st round TKO of Anit Rodriguez.

And also at Featherweight Faith “The Immortal” Van Duin (4-1) of New Zealand squares off with Oregon’s Amanda “The Lady Killer” Bell (3-2).
