Caged Fury “Resurrection” Updates & Weigh-in Info
Caged Fury MMA presents “Resurrection” this Saturday, August 22nd at the Elks Lodge in Framington, New Mexico. We got the when and where for the weigh-ins plus the most recent card update.
The main event features two fighters with a a combined 19 years of Martial Arts experience, 19 combined amateur MMA fights, and 10 plus wins by stoppage. Southern Colorado’s Joey Trevino faces Albuquerque’s Jesse Tafoya. Trevino has been on the amateur scene for 5 years. Trevino has been in wars gaining valuable experience under his belt, and with a huge contingency of support expected to show on fight night, Trevino is determined to make what could be his last battle as an amateur, a victorious one. Tafoya as a young kid started his martial arts journey in your more traditional arts forms before finding MMA at the age of 13. Now a member of the world famous Jackson-Wink camp and still very much a kid, Tafoya has been called someone to keep and eye on by teammate and UFC Flyweight Joby Sanchez. Tafoya has an excitement about MMA and being in his first main event that is hard to match. Both fighters are known for being very talented on the ground and both have expressed to me a desire for a knock out win.
The weigh-in’s will be this Friday at Buffalo Wild Wings 2700 East Main Street Farmington, NM at 7 pm. In addition Buffalo Wild Wings will be the host of the post fight party. Tickets are available through Rsports, Farmington Elks Lodge, Kimo Vista Solutions, and Jae Geo’s Bridal.
