The Forming of UFC Fight Night 77 Belfort vs. Henderson 3
MMA vets, former World Champions, and knock out artists Dan Henderson (31-13) and Vitor Belfort (24-11) will meet for the 3rd time on November 7th, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Hendreson-Belfort 1 took place at Pride 32 October 2006, with Denderson winning a unanimous decision. There 2nd meeting came at UFC Fight Night 32 with Belfort winning by 1st round knock out via head kick. Henderson is coming in off a UFC Fight Night 68 knock out of Tim Boetsch. Belfort will be looking to rebound from a failed attempt at becoming UFC Middleweight, losing to Chris Weidman via 1st round TKO.
At Light Heavyweight number 3 ranked UFC contender Glover Teixeira (23-4) coming off a 3rd round submission of Ovince St. Preux meets Patrick Cummins (8-2) who’s coming off a 3rd round TKO of Rafael Cavalcante.
Also at 205 lbs. Fabio Maldonado (22-5) will look to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Rampage Jackson, when faces Tom Lawlor (10-5) who’s coming off a UFC on Fox 16 TKO of Gian Villante.
At Lightweight on 11 fight win streak, Johnny Case (21-4), who’s coming off a unanimous decision win over Francisco Trinaldo, next faces Yan Cabral (12-1) who scored his first win in the octagon his last time out at UFC 179 submitting Naoyuki Kotani.
Also at 155 lbs.Gilbert Burns (10-0) faces Rashid Magomedov (18-1). Burns is 3-0 in the UFC most recently having submitted Alex Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 62. Magommedov is also 3-0 in the UFC, his last win came via TKO of Elias Silverio.
In a Battle of Florida teams American Top Teams Gleison Tibau (33-11) tangles with Blackzilan Abel Trujillo (12-5). 3-1 is 4 Tibau, Trujillo is 2-1 in his last 3 and both will be looking to rebound from submission losses to Tony Ferguson.
Also on the card at Welterweight Brazilan Viscardi Andrade (17-6) faces Russian Gasan Umalatov (15-4-1) and undefeated Bruno Rodrigues (4-0) tangles with Matheus Nicolau Pereira (10-1-1).
