Light Heavyweights Ryan “Darth” Bader (20-4) and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (20-5) will meet in the main event of UFC on Fox 18 on January 30th, in Newark, New Jersey.
Bader trains out of and is part owner of Power MMA who has 6 win via knock out and 4 via submission. Bader has won straight with decision wins over Anthony Perosh, Rafael Cavalcante, Ovince St. Preux, Phil Davis, and Rashad Evans.
Johnson is a member of the Blackzilians who has 14 wins via knock out. Johnson had been set to challenge Jon Jones for the UFC Light Heavyweight title earlier this year before Jones ended up getting into a car accident an being stripped of the title. Johnson instead faced Daniel Cormier for an interim title at UFC 187, a bout that Cormier would win with a rear naked choke in the 3rd round. “Rumble” would rebound with a UFC 191 2nd round knock out of Jimi Manuwa.
The winner of this fight most likely will become the challenger for the expected Cormier vs. Jones 2, winner.
