UFC 199 Quick Results
Taking place at The Forum in Inglewood, California; UFC 199 features 2 world championship contests.
The nights main event will see AKA’s Luke Rockhold making his 1st Middleweight title defense against number 4 ranked contender, Michael “The Count” Bisping, who’s replacing an injured Chris Weidman. The two have fought once before in the main event of UFC Fight Night 55, which saw Rockhold claim a 2nd round submission victory. Rockhold has won 5 straight including winning the title with a 4th round TKO of Chris Weidman. Bisping has won 3 straight via decision and is coming off defeating Anderson Silva.
The evenings co-main event is for the UFC Bantamweight title and will be the trilogy fight between bitter rivials Dominick Curz & Urijah Faber. The 1st meeting was way back in March of 2007 when Faber submitted Cruz to retain his Featherweight title at WEC 26. The 2nd installment came in July of 2011 with Cruz winning a unanimous decision to retain his UFC Bantamweight title. Since that meeting Faber has went 8-3, losing a pair of title fights to Renan Barao. Following the 2nd fight Cruz successfully defend the title against Demetrious Johnson. A slew of injuries would force Cruz to vacate the title which he won back, via split decision this past January.
