Homasi replaces Strickland, Faces Means at UFC 202
With Sean Strickland having withdrawn from UFC 202, the promotional has announced that TUF 21’s Sabah “The Punisher” Homasi (11-5) will serve as replacement, against Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means (25-7-1).
Homasi is a member of American Top Team, who’s fought for Strikeforce, Bellator , and Titan FC. “The Punisher” won 6 of 7, and 3 straight. Five of the six wins have come via knock out, including 4 days ago defeating Jorge Patino at Titan FC 40 with a 2nd round KO.
Means a member of Fit NHB and the leader of the New Mexico Wildbunch, is coming off a UFC Fight Night 80, KO of John Howard. That win came in December of 2015. Means had expected to be back in action at at the end of February against Donald Cerrone, but that didn’t happen due to a USADA violation, that ultimately saw Means serve a 6-month suspension, for being the victim of a ling supplement company.
UFC 202 is on August 20th at the T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada; and is headlined by Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor .
