Fedor vs. Meathead Set for February 18th
On Saturday night in San Jose, California, Bellator MMA announced the next time they’d be in the building Heavyweight Legend Fedor Emelianenko (36-4) would be making his Bellator debut against Matt “Meathead” Mitrione (11-5).
Emelianenko is currently on a 5 fight win streak and is 2-0 with wins over Jaideep Singh (tko) an Fabio Maldonado (md), since ending his retirement, that started in mid 2012. The most recent win over Maldonado was controversial, could have been stopped in the 2nd for Maldonado, and was a judges gift to Russia’s most iconic figures.
After 14 fights inside the UFC’s Octagon Mitrione, a former NFL player, signed as a free agent with Bellator MMA. Mitrione, nicknamed “Meathead” has 10 finishes all knock outs including winning both his ventures into the Bellator cage knocking out Carl Seumanutafa and TKO-ing Oli Thompson.
Bellator MMA will be back at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, February 18th, with either Bellator 171 of 172.
