Bellator heads to London with Semtex vs. Red King
May 19th, Bellator MMA will be at The Wimbley Arena, in London, England, with a Welterweight main event pitting free agent acquisition Rory “Red King” MacDonald (18-4) against Paul “Semtex” Daley (39-14-2).
MacDonald is a member of the Tristar Gym in Montreal, Canada, who has 7 of 13 finishes by knock out. MacDonald signed with Bellator following consecutive losses to Robbie Lawler (tko) and Stephen Thompson (ud). Both fighter were main events and the loss to Lawler, came with MacDonald as title challenger.
Daley fights out of Spirt Dojo in Nottingham, England, who has 29 of 31 stoppage victories by knockout. Winner of 6 of his last 7 and 5 of those have been by knock out, “Semtex” when bomb in his last fight with and internet crashing, Flying knee knockout of Brennan Ward. The victory erased all memory of Daley’s unanimous decision loss to Doulas Lima, the last time Bellator was in England.
The event will be Bellator 179 and is expected to see Michael “Venom” Page in action.
