Bader set to Make First Title Defense November 3rd
Not yet officially announced but all signs are pointing to Linton “The Swarm” Vassell as being the first to challenge Ryan “Darth” Bader for the Bellator Light Heavyweight title.
Bader made a successful Bellator debut taking the Lightweight title, defeating Phil Davis by split decision for the 2nd time, at Bellator 180. Bader is currently on a 3 fight win streak and has won 8 of 9. England’s Vassell is on a 3 fight win streak that includes decisions win over Francis Carmont and former Bellator champion Emanuel Newton, and is coming off submitting former champion Liam McGeary.
Bellator 186 will take place Friday, Nov. 3 at the Bryce Jordan Center on the Penn State campus. Penn State Alums former Bellator Light Heavyweight champion “Mr. Wonderful” Phil Davis (17-4) & top prospect Ed Ruth (3-0) are both expected to be on the card.
