Tyson Pedro lands next Fight on home soil
UFC 221 has gained a Light Heavyweight bout pitting Australia’s own Tyson Pedro (6-1) against Dagestan, Russia’s Saparbek Safarov (8-1).
Pedro started off his pro run 6-0, all finishes, 4 submissions, and 2 knockouts. Pedro won his first two trips into the octagon submitting Khalil Rountree and knocking out Paul Craig. Pedro will be looking to bounce back from his first loss, dropping a unanimous decision to Ilir Latino at UFC 215.
Safarov has all 8 of his victories by stoppage 6 knockouts and a pair of submissions. Safarov made his promotional debut last December at UFC Fight Night 102, suffering his first loss getting stopped by Gian Villante in the 2nd round.
The card also currently includes a Flyweight bout between Ben Nguyen (17-6) & Jussie Formiga (20-5)
