A old rivalry will be renewed in the main event of June 2nd JacksonWink Fight Night 3 at the Isleta Resort & Casino.
Tuesday April 24th at 2pm Fresquez Promotions will hold a Press Conference in the Isleta Casino Showroom to announce officiallu announce JacksonWink Fihgt Night 3. The Fresquez Promotions Facebook page has already announced the main event & 4 more match-up’s.
The JacksonWink Fight Night 3 main event will see a 2nd meeting between Abel “The Silent Assassin” Cullum (20-6) & Joshua “The Destroya” Montoya (11-9). Their first meeting in MAy of 2010, saw Cullum win by 1st round, rear naked choke.
Cullum 31, took a break from competition from September of 2011 to September of 2014. Cullum returned to action submitting UFC vet Ulysse Gomez and a month later also forced Carl Deaton III to tap. Cullum was then scheduled to compete again 6 months later, the fight was canceled and again the Tucumcari Sheiff left the fight scene. A few months ago it was announced that Cullum would face Nick Gonzalez at Jackson’s MMA Series XXIV, but Gonzalez end up withdrawing from the fight. When he enters the cage Cullum will have been away from action for 44 months. Montoya 30, has been out of competition for 38 months, since retiring at Jackson’s MMA Series XIV. During retirement Montoya has still been in the gym coaching, while also raising twins and working in both the entertainment an medical industries. Montoya has also fought three times as a professional boxer. Montoya trains at Luttrell/Yee MMA, while Cullum is working with Force of 1 in Clovis. These two have a combined 31 victories & 27 finishes.
The pro card will also see a battle between undefeated Flyweights as JacksonWink fighter Ricky Esquibel (3-0) takes on Utica New York’s “Ruthless” Josh Ricci (4-0). Esquibel has all 3 of his wins by submission, coming off a LFA 28 victory over Cameron Miller. Ricci is a vet of CES & Bellator with 2 submission and 2 decisions on his record, coming off defeating Brandon Warne.
