A Featherweight contest between top 15 ranked foes, a former title challenger and a hot prospect has been added to the UFC’s June trip to the Windy City.
Number 7 ranked contender, Chicago native, Ricardo “The Bully” Lamas (18-6) will lock up with number 12 ranked Mirsad Bektic (12-1) . Lamas, who trains at MMA Masters, looks to rebound from a December knock out loss to Josh Emmett. Bektic trains at American Top Team and is coming off knocking out of Godofredo Peppy in January.
UFC 225 is June 9th, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Furthermore a rumored Welterweight contest between former professional Phil “CM Punk” Brooks (0-1) & MMA media member Mike “The Truth” Jackson (0-1) has been made official. Neither has fought since being submitted by Micky Gall in 2016.
