Dillashaw vs. Cejudo Title bout slated for UFC 233

Amongst reports of the demise of the UFC’s flyweight division, this morning it appears the long rumored bout between  bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw and recently crowned Flyweight Champion Henry Cejudo is on the cusp of being finalized with an unexpected twist.

The bout which is now rumored to headline UFC 233 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on January 26; will be for the UFC Flyweight Title.

Dillashaw (16-3) stopped Cody Garbrandt for the second time at UFC 227, winning his 4th straight, and making his first successful tile defense of his 2nd title reign. The same night, Cejudo (13-2) won his 3rd in a row,  be coming a UFC Champion, dethroning Demetrious Johnson, by a razor thin split decision.
