Bellator 225 Quick Results
The Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport Connecticut hosts Bellator 225. The main event is a Heavyweight rematch between Matt “MeatHead” Mitrione vs. Sergei “The Paratrooper” Kharitonov.
The first meeting in February came to an abrupt and unsatisfying end as Mitrione landed a blow 15 seconds into the bout that Kharitonov was unable to recover from, leading to a no contest.
The co-main event has been changed on fight day as Vitlay Minokov will now face UFC vet Tim Johnson instead of Javy Ayala. Ayala was withdrawn from the card by the commission, without a reason given.
The prelim card features UFC vets Sabah Homasi & Jon Manley, plus Dana White’s Contender Series alumni Austin Vanderford & former XFC champ Nick Newell.
