Bellator Announces 7-fight Card for July 24
In 10 days Bellator MMA will put on their first event in nearly five months.
Bellator 242 is set for the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. In the main event UFC vet Sergio “The Phenom” Pettis takes on former CFFC champion Ricky Bandejas. Both men have won their last two fights.
In the co-main event former VFC, Titan FC, & LFA champion Jason Jackson faces fellow well-traveled UFC vet Canadian Jordan Mein.
Unbeaten, Kiwi, submission artist Jay Jay Wilson faces Tywin “Air” Claxton who has four of his six wins by knockout.
Opening up the main Card will be blue chip prospect Aaron Pico against Solo Hatley Jr. who’s already upset prospect Gaston Balonos in his promotional debut.
The prelims will be a three fight Card. On a three fight win streak Mark Lemminger makes his Bellator debut against unbeaten, dominate wrestler Logan Storley. And in heavyweight action unbeaten Steve Mowry battles Rudy Schaffroth, both have 100% finishing rate.
The Bellator 242 prelims will be streamed on the Bellator YouTube page 6:30 p.m. ET. The main card will be televised on the Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET.
