UFC 251 weigh-in results, 2 fighters heavy
The first weigh-ins on Fight Island are for UFC 251. A 12-fight card with triple header of championship contests.
UFC 251 along with the promotions other three events for the month of July all take place on Fight Island. Which is a sectioned off ten mile area on Yas Iasland in Abu Dhabi.
According to the UFC website, early prelims are on UFC Fight pass at 6 p.m. ET, prelims on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET, pay per view main card on ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET.
All three championship contest are official after all six athletes made weight. Unfortunately two athletes Vanessa Melo, by five pounds, and Raulian Paiva, by three pounds, both missed their contracted weights. Paiva will be fined 20% of his purse, while Melo will be fine 30% of her purse.
