Bellator MMA is going back to back with Bellator 245 & 246.
Bellator 245 is set for September 11th and Bellator 246 will be September 12th both at the Mohegan Sun arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Bellator 245 is headlined by a rematch, former UFC light-heavyweight champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida faces former Bellator light-heavyweight champion “Mr. Wonderful” Phil Davis. Their first meeting at UFC 163 saw Davis win by unanimous decision. Davis has scored consecutive third round stoppage over Liam McGeary & Karl Albrektsson. Machida has won four of his last five fights and is 2-1 in Bellator. Defeating Rafael Carvalho by decision and Chael Sonnen by second round TKO.
The card will also see former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Cat Zingano squaring off against Gabrielle Holloway.
The main event of Bellator 246 will see former four-division KOTC champion Juan “The Spaniard” Archuleta against unbeaten former KOCT champion Pat “Patchy” Mix. Archuleta is 6-1 in Bellator including a decision win over Ricky Bandejas at 135 lbs. In three trips into the Bellator cage Mix has three first round submission victories.
Bellator 246 will also see former UFC title challenger, Jon Fitch against Bellator welterweight Grand Prix Semi-finalist, Neiman Gracie. Former UFC & Strikeforce title challenger, Liz Carmouche will face Invicta FC & TUF 26 alumni, DeAnna Bennett. In lightweight action Roger Huerta faces Derek “The Stallion” Campos. And at middleweight unbeaten Austin Vanderford meets LAF vet, Daniel Madrid.
