PFL 2021 season opens with Lightweights & Featherweights
The 2021 PFL season will kick off on April 23rd after taking off 2020.
The first event will be headlined by high profile free agent acquisition Anthony “Showtime” Pettis against “Cassius” Clay Collard who took the boxing world by storm in 2020 with improbable victories. Pettis is a former WEC & UFC Lightweight champion who is coming off decision wins over Donald Cerrone & Alex Morono. Collard has won four of his last five MMA bouts but has competed in the sport since April 2019.
In the co-main event Natan Schulte the 2018 & 2019 PFL Lightweight champion will take on Polish submission specialist, Marcin Held who has won four in a row. The 2018 & 2019 PFL Featherweight champion Lance “The Party” Palmer is going to square off with former Brave FC champion Bubba Jenkins, winner of three in a row. Former Titan FC champion Jason Sores battles fellow unbeaten, Russia’s Movlid Khaybulaeev.
A location for event one of the 2021 PFL has not been announced but the prelims will stream on ESPN+, main card on ESPN2.
