Claressa Shields first MMA fight has been Set

Boxing superstar Claressa Shields is set to step in the cgae for the first time on June 10th.

The MMA debut will come against Brittey Elkin on the ESPN 2 portion of the week 4 card.

Shields is a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and the undisputed women’s Middleweight & Super Welterweight champion of the champion of the boxing world.  Since announcing the intentions to branch out to MMA, the Flint, Michigan native has been training for this moment at JacksonWink MMA in Albuquerque, NM. With a tam that’s done it all in MMA.

Elkin is a Wyoming native who came up fighting for Colorado based promotion Sparta Combat League. No stranger to high level MMA, Elkin has fought for Bellator & PFL.  While many were inactive during 2020 Elkin stayed busy on the grappling scene competing eight times.
