Invicta FC 44 Returns to PPV with a Championship Double Header
After eight-years Invicta FC is returning to pay per view with Invicta FC 44: A New Era, August 27th at Memorial Hall in Kansas City.
The card will see two champions crowned. The main event has Emily “Gordinha” Ducote and “Dnamite” Faniell Taylor battle for the vacant Invicta FC strawweight championship. Ducote fought for the inaugural Bellator women’s flyweight title in 2017 & came within a scorecard of winning Invicta FC title in 2019. Taylor a former KOTC champion and UFC vet beat Monsterrat Ruiz by decision at Inivtca FC 33. Taylor returns to Invicta FC off a decision win over Jessica Aguilar at XFC 43.
The other championship contest will see Lisa “Battle Angel” Verzosa squaring off with Taneisha “Triple Threat” Tennant for the vacant Invicta FC bantamweight title. Verzosa has grown up in Inivicta FC picking up five of her six wins under the promotions banner. Tennant is unbeaten in the Inivcta FC cage and earned this title opportunity after winning the Phoenix Series 3 tournament.
Other notables on the car include UFC vets Jodie Esquible, Mara Romero Borella, & Lauren Mueller.
