Lima-Page 2 set for October

Bellator MMA is returning to Europe in October with a welterweight rematch between top contenders.

For the first time since February 2020 Bellator MMA is stepping outside the United States. Bellator London will be October 1st at the SSE Arena. The first meeting in May of 2019 saw Lima sweep out Page’s base with a low kick, as Page went to stand, he was met with a Lima Uppercut that lands as one of the top knockouts in the promotion’s history, and advance Lima to the finals of the Bellator welterweight Grand Prix.

Lima would win the Grand Prix and regaining the Bellator welterweight title for a third time, beating Rory MacDonald by unanimous decision. “The Phenom” will now look to get back on track following a failed attempt to become a two-division champion and losing his 170 lb. belt to Yaroslav Amosov.

Page is on a five-fight win streak since their first meeting. The 34-year-old from London ran off three straight knockouts taking out Richard Kiely, Giovanni Melillo, & Shinsho Anzai. At Bellator 248 went all the wat to the cards with Ross Houston. In May “MVP” busted up Derek Anderson forcing the fight to be called after the initial five minutes.

The co-main event will see Scotland’s Robert “The Hammer” Whiteford squaring off with England’s Andrew Fischer; both are on a four-fight win streak.
