Flyweights Take Center Stage as LFA Returns to Arizona
Legacy Fighting Alliance has announced their return the “Valley of the Sun” will feature a pair of flyweight bouts at the top of the card.
LFA 124 on February 11th will be the promotions 9th trip to Arizona all events including this one has happened at the Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix.
The main event will see UFC vet & flyweight pioneer Jussier Formiga against his fellow countrymen Felipe Bunes. Prior to 125 lbs. making its way to the octagon was widely consider the number one fighter in the division. In 8 years with the UFC, he competed 16 times racking up wins over names like Scott Jorgensen, Sergio Pettis, & handing current champion Deiveson Figueirdo his first professional loss. Bunes has been competing for well know Russian organization Fight Night Global & ACA since late 2017. An exciting BJJ Black Belt in his own right Bunes last two wins have come by flying triangle & triangle armbar combination.
In the co-main event Arizona’s own unbeaten Clayton Carpenter who scored his last two wins in under a minute combined faces Brazilian grappler Windson Ramos who has three win by rear naked choke.
