Font-Vera showdown Headlines UFC Fight Night April 30th
A top ten ranked Bantamweight match-up has been tabbed as the main event of the UFC Fight Night on April 30th.
The nights final fight will see number five ranked Rob Font battling number eight ranked Marlon vera. Boston’s Font heads into his third headlining duties in row. One and one in his previous two fights both going the distance defeating Cody Garbrandt and losing to Jose Aldo. In all Font is 4-1 in his last five. Vera has won three of his last four fights rebounding from his own loss to Jose Aldo back-to-back wins. This past June “Chito” beat Davey Grant by unanimous decision. In December the Ecuadorian fighter scored the biggest win of his career knocking out former champion Frankie Edgar by front kick. The win impressed the boss enough for Vera to earn his first main event booking.
