Lightweight Title Bout Headlines LFA’s Return to South Dakota
Streaking prospects will battle for the LFA Lightweight world title in the main event of LFA 128.
LFA 128 takes place on April 8th at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls South Dakota. It’ll be the promotions 15th event in the state. The lightweight division has crowned six champions, Harvey Park & Bryce Logan both won the belt in South Dakota.
The next champion will either be Oklahoma’s Aaron McKenzie & Missouri’s Lucas “Cassius” Clay. McKenzie is a protegee of former Legacy champion Rafael Lovato Jr. He’s won 3 in a row the last two decisions over TUF finalist Joe Giannetti & Bellator vet Brandon Phillips. Clay is riding the momentum of a four-fight win streak that includes a banner year in 2021. A relative of legendary Boxer Muhammad Ali who shares the same nickname of “Cassius”, went 2-0 in the LFA in 2021 earning a nomination for LFA Male fighter of the year. And his D’arce choke of Jake Kozorosky earned a nomination for LFA submission of the year.
