Adesanya-Cannioner Headlines UFC 276
The second announced world title fight for UFC 276 will be the international fight week main attraction.
July 2nd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Nevada Jared Cannioner will get his chance to dethrone Israel Adesanya of the UFC Middleway crown.
Cannioner has won five out of six since dropping to 185 lbs. A former heavyway and light heavyweight the “Killa Gorilla” has kept his power as he’s moved down collecting four of his five wins in the division by knockout. Cannioner earned his title shot by knocking out Derek Brunson at UFC 271 showing his resolve, rebounding from a bad first round to land a crushing elbow in the second.
Adesanya will head into his 8th championship fight in a row looking for his 5th defense. Over the last 11 months Adesanya has secured his second wins over bitter rivals Marcin Vettori & Robert Whittaker. Leading many to ponder who will be able to end the reign of “The Last Style Bender”.
