2nd Title Fight added to UFC 281
The first title defense of Carla Esparza’s second reign will happen inside the worlds most famous area.
As UFC president Dana White said, Weili Zhang has earned a title shot with her knockout of Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC275.
The Strawweight title fight will be the UFC 281 co-main event. UFC 281 is November 12th at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.
Esparza became a two-time champion in July dethroning Rose Namajunas by decision in the most lackluster title fight in UFC history. The win extended the inaugural UFC women’s Strawweight Champions current streak to 6-in a row.
The card has also recently gain three other exciting match-ups. Former title challenger number seven ranked Light-Heavyweight Dominick Reyes against number 12 ranked Ryan Spann. At Lightweight thrilling finisher Renato Moicano will square off with talented striker Brad Riddell. And in women’s Flyweight action number 12 ranked Erin Blanchfield, who’s won six in a row against number 15 Molly McCann, winner of three straight.
