UFC 278 Weigh-in Coverage
Live at the UFC host hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah for the official weigh-ins for UFC 278.
The first two fighters on the scale at 9 a.m. local time were the two main in which the event has been built around. Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman & challenger Leon Edwards both came in at the championship weight of 17u0 lbs.
The co-main event was also given the green light as Paulo Costa (185.5) & Luke Rockhold (186). Costa also yelled out that he didn’t appreciate an early morning visit from USADA. Top ten contenders Jose Aldo (136) vs. Merab Dvalishvili (136) both came in at the Bantamweight limit. Aldo did have to use the UFC curtain.
Prior to the weigh-ins news broke that Shana Young has been hospitalized obviously cancelling her fight with Miranda Maverick. Twenty-two of the events twenty-four fighter stepped on the scale within the first 30 minutes of the two hour window.
