LFA 142 topped by Amorim vs. Nichols title Fight
Legacy Fighting Alliance will be returning to the Gopher State in mid-September with a card topped by a battle for the LFA Women’s Strawweight championship.
Reigning champion Jaqueline “Jacque” Amorim will defend against Ashley “Ak-47” Nichols in the nights main event.
Amorim a talented BJJ black belt put the division on notice at LFA 101 stopping Taish Gandy by TKO in 33 seconds. Amorim followed it up with a ten second knockout of Megan Owens at LFA 110. It took less then 90 seconds for “Jacque” to win the vacant LFA title submitting Loveth Young by kneebar.
Nichols is a talented striker whose won world and Canadian national championships in Muay Thai. The Glory Kickboxing vet returned to combat sports at LFA 125 after more than three years away to take a decision win over Hilarie Rose.
LFA 142 takes place on Friday September 16th at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota
While an opponent is still being secured the co-main event is expected to feature former Heavyweight champion Thomas Petersen. The card will also see unbeaten Michael Cry against finisher Sean McPadden.
